Rear Admiral Donald K. Muchow, CHC, USN (Ret.), was honored as a Buda Local Legend for his exceptional service and leadership. He served as the U.S. Navy’s 20th Chief of Chaplains, overseeing ministries for millions of personnel and families, and was recognized with numerous military awards, including the Navy Distinguished Service Medal. Beyond his Navy career, Muchow dedicated over a decade as Chaplain to the Buda Police Department, led the Buda Ministerial Alliance, and continues supporting churches and communities in need. His enduring commitment to faith, service, and leadership has profoundly impacted Buda and beyond.

Clark has toured relentlessly for years including performances at the Chicago Blues Festival, European Blues Festivals, Ottawa and Toronto Blues Festivals, various festivals in Europe, Russia and Turkey. Along the way he has met up with old fans and friends and undoubtedly gained new ones everywhere he plays. The rest of the world is now in on what the city of Buda has known for decades: W.C. Clark, The Godfather of Blues, is an innovative and creative artist whose soulful singing and tasty guitar playing reach out from Buda, with soul, to all corners of the music-loving world.

Jim Hollis moved Buda 42 years ago when the population was less than 400. He served as the city Mayor in the 1980’s, has served as the President of the ESD Board for over 20 years, as an active member of the Buda Masonic Lodge, and given endless hours of service to his community in numerous organizations and government capacities. He knows the history of the area and all the old stories. He never hesitates in sharing his knowledge and absolutely never meets a stranger. He is still living at over 80 years old and remains active on his little ‘ranch’ here in Buda.
